Lee, VA.

MIST affiliate satellite networks such as the VA’s Employee Education System and the Department of Justice Television Network may also carry this program but IAW with their own scheduling.

 

There is No C Band Analog satellite availability for this pre-recorded program.

 

Videoconferencing may be available to selected military and federal VTC sites using the USA TNET or the USN CNET networks and other VTC networks able to connect to this satellite feed.  Site coordinators using VTC are responsible for their own bridge coordination.

 Target Audience Statement:  The target audiences for this program will be federal, military, state and local public health professionals and their partners (e.g., healthcare professionals, EMS personnel, law enforcement, media representatives and others with an interest in this topic.

e.  Program Description:  Soil vapor intrusion, the process by which volatile chemicals move from a subsurface source into the indoor air of overlying buildings, has recently emerged as a public health concern at many hazardous waste sites throughout New York State and across the Country.  This program will provide an overview of soil vapor intrusion as well as insight into how public health and environmental officials are evaluating and addressing exposures related to soil vapor intrusion.

f.  CEUs, CMEs, and Certificates:  This Educational Activity is presented by the School of Public Health Continuing Education, which has been approved as a provider of continuing education by the New York State Nurses Association’s Council on Continuing Education, which is accredited by the American Nurses’ Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.  It has been approved for 1.0 contact hours and has been assigned approval code 6VKSFE-PRV-06-xxx.

The University at Albany, School of Public Health is accredited by the MSSNY to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians.  The School designates this educational activity for a maximum of 1.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) TM  Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

This activity is sponsored by the School of Public Health, University at Albany, SUNY; a designated provider of continuing education contact hours (CECH) in health education by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc.  This program is designated for the CHES to receive 1.0 Category 1 CECH in health education.
