(Current Quarter of FY08 Program Listing)
NOTE: This satellite program listing IS NOT an all-inclusive listing of all known satellite programming. It is a representative listing of free, interagency satellite programming whose delivery is coordinated by our offices for primarily Federal and Military downlink sites that use digital compressed video (CDV) satellite downlinks within the Military/Federal Government Education and Training (GETN) satellite networks. GETN Networks are closed, private, encrypted satellite networks. Some programs may also be available to non-military or non- federal civilian sites via analog C/Ku satellite downlinks that are found at many civilian locations and some military/federal sites. Please carefully note the available delivery modalities in the "Platform" column before registering for any particular program to ensure your site has the necessary equipment to receive the program. This listing is provided merely as a public service to the military/ federal communities at large. All program dates and times are subject to change without notice at the discretion of the broadcast sponsor. (POC is Ed Kronholm; Toll Free 877-820-0305 or email; edkronholm@aol.com. )

the U.S. If the pandemic is severe, it could kill almost 2 million
people in the U.S. and if it is mild, an estimated 200,000 people could
die. What would happen to the criminal justice system in the event

As public health officials, how can we
best address the needs of a growing population in an ever changing
environment? Public health leaders are already involved in a wide array
of health promotion, prevention and disease management programs from AIDS
to zoonoses, anti-smoking and immunization campaigns, safe food and water
inspections, plus bioterrorism preparedness. But now, as we learn more
about the social determinants of health: education, income, housing and
transportation – we need to examine an even broader framework for public
health action in our communities, large and small. In this program we’ll
discuss these new challenges for public health professionals. |
