b. Sponsor’s Program Overview: Members of the FBI’s Hazardous Materials Response Unit will discuss roles and responsibilities of first responders. They will also cover the Threat Assessment Process, Response Capabilities, Challenges of Processing Crime Scenes Involving Hazardous Materials, and the associated Federal Statutes.
c. Program Objectives: This broadcast is to show First Responders and other officials how to assess threats, manage response capabilities, safeguard evidence and persons involved at the scene and discuss what laws are involved at the federal, state, and local levels.
d. Target Audience Statement: Local, State, Federal, Military officials and First Responders to WMD or Bioterrorism incidents.
