a.  Sponsors:  These program are sponsored by The Department of  Justice(DOJ) Television Network and the Army National Guard (NGB-ART-RDL). 

b.  Availability:  These FREE non-scrambled, public domain program will be on the Military/Federal GETN/Warrior satellite networks whose downlinks are found at USA and USAF installations and at over 300+ ANG locations at JFHQs and ANG bases.  (These programs have NO C or KU-Band analog satellite availability.)  Limited videoconferencing connectivity for selected military sites may be available through special arrangement on the USA TNET, or Navy CNET videoconferencing networks.  ARNG DTTP VTC connectivity may also be available through special arrangement with the DTTP VOC Operations Center.  Local site use coordination of satellite downlinks will be required.  An archived webcast will be available.  Contact Ed Kronholm’s office at 877-820-0305 if you have a question or problem locating a site.

Will these programs be Video streamed:  There are no plans for a webcast, live or archived, for any of these programs.

Friday, December 22, 2003; 12:00-5:00 PM ET - “Retirement Planning: TransFERS”

Federal employees covered under the Federal employee Retirement System (FERS) with creditable service under the Civil Service Retirement System will learn how their annuities are computed, and how eligibility is determined.  The role of Social Security and the Thrift Savings Plan will also be covered, along with Federal Employee Health Benefits, Federal Employee Group Life Insurance, and Long Term Care Insurance.  The presenter is Sheery Casas, Graduate School, USDA. 

Tuesday, December 23, 2003; 12:00-5:00 PM ET - “Retirement Planning –CSRS Law Enforcement” 

Federal law enforcement officers have special provisions to consider in planning for a secure retirement.  This seminar is for federal law enforcement employees covered by the Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) and will cover retirement, mandatory retirement, computation of annuity, survivor and disability benefits, as well as the provisions for life and health insurance, social security, the Thrift Savings Plan and Long Term Care Insurance.  The presenter is Sherry Casas of the Graduate School, USDA.

f.  Videotape Availability:  None.  DOJ has discontinued its prior practice of providing free tapes of its programs to non-DOJ organizations due to budget cuts.

g.  Videotape Release (if taping from broadcast):  These FREE programs are unclassified and non-scrambled.  There are no copyright restrictions on these programs, however they MAY NOT be videotaped and re-broadcast where fees are attached to its showing.  It may not be used for commercial purposes or for profit purposes without additional permission of the sponsors.
