a.  Sponsors:  This free, public domain program live program is sponsored by the U.S. Army Medical Command and the AMEDD Center and School, Department of Academic Support & Quality Assurance, with the technical support of the U.S. Army Satellite Education Network (SEN) at Ft. Lee, VA. 

b.  Availability:  This program will be available ONLY on the SEN/GETN/Military Digital satellite networks.  C/KU-Band Analog Coordinates WILL NOT be available for this program.  Video Teletraining connectivity will also be available via USA TNET, US Navy CNET & ARNG DTTP VTC networks.  (VTT/VTC users must complete their own bridge connectivity coordination.)

c.  Target Audience:  This program is targeted to military and VA medical providers of all disciplines who may face participatory or leadership responsibilities in providing emergency care to U.S. Military and other supporting agency personnel. 

d.  Program Summary:  This is a program of the monthly satellite series presented by the AMEDD Center and School. 

e.  Program Objectives:  This program will cover various aspects of initial medical care at the point of injury and discuss causes of battlefield death.  Graduates of this course are better prepared to perform their duties of providing optimal health care to military service members and supporting agency staff members. 

f.  CME, CEU Credit:   

CME:  This program has been reviewed and is approved for a maximum of 1 hour of clinical  Category 1 CME credit.  This program was planned in accordance with CME standards for Lecture-Learner programs.  This CME may only be claimed on the day of the actual broadcast as no current mechanism is in place to claim for CME material viewed at a later date.  Application for Nursing Continuing Education will also be submitted and reviewed for this program.

*** An online registration and end of course evaluation MUST BE COMPLETED to receive the appropriate continuing education credit.  All Registrations should be completed prior to the broadcast date but must be completed NLT close of business on the day of the broadcast.   

g.  Video tape Availability:  Videotapes of this program WILL NOT be available.  This FREE program is unclassified and non-scrambled.  There are no copyright restrictions on this, however it MAY NOT be video taped and rebroadcast where fees are attached to its showing.  CME credit will not be given for viewing a taped version of program.  

h.  Site Coordinator Registration:  All military and federal GETN satellite site coordinators  MUST register for this program to receive the necessary illumination authentication (GETN/Warrior dishes) and coordinates.  Sites may register at:  GETN Site Registration  or http://www.dlnets.com/telereg.htm  or by calling Ed Kronholm’s Office, the Satellite Registrations Coordinator, toll free at 877-820-0305 or 888-820-4898.

i.  Individual Viewer Registration:  AMEDD is requesting that individual viewers the day of the broadcast also register at this website.  Registration should be completed prior to the broadcast date, but no later than the close of business on the day of the broadcast.
